  • 2/3 c. butter, soft
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Grease and flour three 8-inch round pans.

    In a large bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy (about 3 minutes).

    Mix in flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk.

    Pour into pans.

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until done.

    Cool on racks.

    Frost with Cocoa Fudge Frosting.
