Butter Chicken

  • 120 g Greek yogurt
  • 400 g chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 14 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 12 teaspoon paprika
  • 12 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 12 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 4 garlic cloves, grated
  • 2 12 cm fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 onion, cubed
  • 25 g butter
  • 400 ml tomato puree
  • 125 ml cream

Directions

    Cube the chicken, add yogurt, all the spices, garlic and ginger.

    Mix well, and let marinade overnight.

    Heat frying pan to medium heat, add half the butter and onion, cook until softened.

    Remove, and drain, chicken from the marinade, add to frying pan.

    Cook until browned.

    Add tomato puree, and cook until chicken is cooked through and tender.

    Reduce heat to low and add the cream, making sure the mixture is not too hot, to prevent the cream splitting.

    Season as desired.
