- 1/2 lb. butter, softened (not margarine)
- 5 eggs
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.

2Add 2 eggs and beat.

3Add flour and beat, then add 1 egg at a time, beating after each one.

4Add vanilla.

5The more you beat, the lighter your cake will be.

6Pour into a greased tube pan and bake at 350° for 1 hour, or until done.
