- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. Crisco, melted
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Stir milk into the 2 cups flour, mixing well.

2Add melted shortening.

3Knead in enough flour to make a soft biscuit dough. Roll out biscuit dough to 1/2-inch or less thickness.

4Mix 2 tablespoons flour, sugar, butter and vanilla together and spread on biscuit dough.

5Roll up jelly roll style and place in a cake pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).

6Cover with hot water.

7Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.
