  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. rum
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. finely grated nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)

    For more of a cookie, use 1 1/2 cups nuts.

    Cream butter; add sugar, flavor, flour, then nuts.

    Bake at 350° for 8 to 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet or until delicate yellow color.

    Roll in powdered sugar if desired.
