- 2/3 c. hot water
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cold butter
- 1/2 tsp. mint flavoring
- 1 Tbsp. rum
- 1 tsp. vinegar
Directions

1Add sugar and water in a saucepan.

2Add vinegar and cream of tartar.

3Boil rapidly; do not stir, until it reaches 260° on your candy thermometer.

4Remove syrup from the stove and pour it over a surface you have oiled.

5Dot with butter.

6Allow to cool for 3 minutes.

7Fold over the edges when it is cool with a pancake turner.

8Sprinkle with rum and the flavor of mint.

9Start pulling the taffy, making a rope from here to there.

10Cut with kitchen scissors into little pillows or squares.

11Roll in sugar.

12Place in airtight container.
