Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 c. chopped almonds
  • 1 c. finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 lb. milk chocolate, melted

Directions

    Bring sugar, salt, water and butter to boiling; add almonds. Cook, stirring constantly, to light crack stage (285°).

    Pour onto a greased cookie sheet or jelly roll pan.

    When cool, brush with chocolate and sprinkle with walnut meats.

    Break into pieces. Makes about 2 dozen pieces.
