- 1 c. milk
- 1 yeast cake
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- melted butter
Directions

1Scald milk and remove from heat.

2Add shortening to milk. Combine yeast and sugar in bowl.

3Add yeast mixture to lukewarm milk mixture.

4Add salt and slightly beaten eggs to mixture.

5Add flour and mix well.

6Let rise until double in size, about 2 to 3 hours.

7Place half of dough on floured board; roll into circle 1/2-inch thick.

8Brush with melted butter.

9Cut into 16 pie shaped wedges.

10Roll each wedge beginning at round edge and place on greased pan with pointed end underneath.

11Let rise again until double in size.

12Bake about 15 minutes in 400° oven.

13Makes 32 rolls.
