- 1 1/2 lb. carrots
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Directions

1Pare carrots and cut into julienne strips.

2Place in a large heavy saucepan with sugar, salt, pepper, butter and water. Cover. Bring to a boil.

3Simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until carrots are tender and moisture is evaporated.

4Remove cover to evaporate moisture, if necessary. Turn carrots into serving bowl and sprinkle with parsley.

5Makes 6 servings.
