- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. milk, scalded
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 4 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

2Combine next 4 ingredients in bowl; cool to lukewarm.

3Add yeast, egg and half the flour.

4Beat well.

5Add enough remaining flour to make soft dough.

6Knead lightly on floured surface.

7Place in greased bowl, turning to grease surface.

8Let rise, covered, in warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.

9Divide into halves.

10Roll each portion on floured surface to 12-inch circle.

11Cut into 12 wedges and roll up from wide end.

12Place on greased baking sheets.

13Let rise 30 minutes or until doubled.

14Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
