- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 lb. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 large yeast cake
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Mix flour, shortening, sugar and salt like a pie dough.

2Add beaten eggs.

3Add yeast that has been dissolved in lukewarm milk. Store dough in refrigerator overnight or at least 4 hours in a cold place.

4Roll out dough and shape into butterhorns.

5Let rise. Bake 30 minutes in 375° oven.

6Frost with powdered sugar and milk frosting while warm and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
