- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into bowl. Chip butter into flour and cut until it resembles course meal.

2Add buttermilk and mix until it forms a ball.

3Pat onto waxed paper, 1/4-inch thick.

4Cut with biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet. Preheat oven to 450° and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

5Serve hot with butter, jam or honey.
