- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 to 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Sift dry ingredients together in large mixing bowl.

3Cut in shortening with pastry blender.

4Stir in enough milk to form a soft dough onto well floured board; knead gently about 10 times.

5Form dough into 12 small balls.

6Flatten and place side by side in Redi-Pan round cake pan.

7Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until lightly browned.

8Serve hot with butter. Makes 12 biscuits.
