  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup butter
  • 7 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups buttermilk

    Preheat oven to 425F.

    Mix all the dry ingredients together.

    Cut in butter, blend with a fork until it's a bit like oatmeal.

    Add buttermilk last and blend only until mixed.

    Do not overwork the dough.

    Put dough on a floured surface, and press to about 2-inches thick.

    Cut into circles with a glass or cup of your choice.

    Keep in mind they almost double in height rising in the oven while baking.
