- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift flour.

2Mix in baking powder and salt. Work in shortening.

3Pour in milk.

4May need a little more milk.

5Flour board and knead dough a little.

6Dough will be soft and sticky. Place small amount of flour in hands.

7Roll lightly a small amount of dough into a ball.

8Place on greased pan.

9Cook at 400° until lightly brown.

10Place butter on top of biscuit and return to oven until golden brown.
