- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 6 Tbsp. Crisco
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Measure flour and run through sifter. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.

3Knead shortening with hands into mixture.

4Pour in milk and knead until dough is soft and puffy. Roll dough out to 1/2-inch thick.

5Cut with biscuit cutter.

6Place on ungreased baking sheet.

7Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

8Makes approximately 10 biscuits.
