- 3/4 c. Lysine cornmeal
- 1 c. white flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Stir together cornmeal, flour, sugar and salt.

3Set aside.

4Dissolve soda in buttermilk.

5Add beaten egg and melted margarine; stir until mixed, then add to dry ingredients and mix well.

6Turn into greased 9 x 9-inch pan or into greased muffin pan.

7Bake 20 minutes or until golden and done.
