  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry pie crust
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, adding sugar gradually. Blend in vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time.

    Combine flour and salt, adding a small amount at a time.

    Add buttermilk. Pour filling into unbaked pie crust; bake in preheated 300° oven for 1 1/2 hours. Best served at room temperature. Serves 8.
