Buttermilk Pie

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix sugar, flour and half of the milk.

    Add beaten eggs.

    Add rest of the milk and stir in melted butter.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells and bake at 425° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat slightly and bake until knife comes out clean.

    Yields 2 pies.
