Buttermilk Pie

  • 3 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 stick (1/4 c.) margarine
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

    Mix together all ingredients, except egg whites.

    Beat egg whites until stiff.

    Fold gently into buttermilk mixture and pour into 2 (9-inch) deep dish pie shells.

    Bake in 325° oven until brown and set.
