- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream butter.

2Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended.

3Add eggs (one at a time) beating after each addition.

4Combine flour, soda and salt.

5Add to cream mixture, alternating with buttermilk.

6Stir in flavoring. Pour batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

7Bake at 325° for one hour or until wooden pick comes out clean.

8Top should be golden brown.
