- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk or sour cream
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 sticks oleo, softened
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream oleo and sugar until fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each.

3Mix soda with buttermilk.

4Add buttermilk alternately with flour.

5Mix well.

6Add salt and vanilla and almond extracts.

7Bake in greased and floured tube pan in cold oven at 325°

8for 1 1/4 hours or 1 1/2 hours or until done.

9Allow to cool a few minutes before removing from pan.
