- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

3Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

4Stir in flavorings.

5Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

6Bake at 325° for one hour or until done.

7Cool in pan 10 minutes.

8Remove from pan and cool completely on a rack.
