Buttermilk Puddin' Pie

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 pkg. (4 oz.) butterscotch pudding mix (regular, not instant)
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts (not fine)

Directions

    Combine the sugars, pudding mix, milk and butter in a saucepan and cook to soft ball stage (234°).

    Remove from heat, add nuts. Beat until creamy and mixture begins to hold shape.

    Drop quickly in small mounds onto waxed paper from teaspoon.

    Yields 18 praline patties.
