Buttermilk Refrigerator Rolls

- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. shortening, melted
- 4 Tbsp. warm water
- 5 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Mix flour and sugar, then add shortening, yeast and buttermilk.

3Mix thoroughly by hand.

4Add more flour if needed.

5Cover and refrigerate.

6About 1 1/2 hours before baking, let stand at room temperature, then roll out.

7Form rolls and let raise in warm place for 1 hour before baking.

8Bake in preheated oven at 425° until brown, about 12 minutes.
