Buttermilk Salad

  • 1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 (6 oz.) box peach Jell-O
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
  • 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

    Combine pineapple and sugar in saucepan.

    Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

    Remove from heat.

    Add dry Jell-O, stirring until dissolved.

    Cool.

    Add buttermilk and stir until combined. Fold in Cool Whip and spoon in dish you wish to serve it in. Sprinkle, if you desire, with chopped pecans.

    Refrigerate several hours before serving.
