  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. butternut flavoring

    well. Sift plain flour, self-rising flour and baking powder

    one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Add flour alternately with milk. Add flavoring.

    Bake in 3 layer pans at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
