- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1/2 c. self rising flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. butternut flavoring
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar until light.

2Add eggs.

3Beat for 1 minute at high speed.

4Add 1 cup of flour, beating for 1 minute. Add rest of flour alternately with milk.

5Add flavoring.

6Mix well. Bake 1 hour at 325° and then turn up heat to 350° for 10 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
