- 4 Tbsp. unmelted butter
- 1 onion, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 butternut squash, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 white turnip, peeled and sliced
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and chunked
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Melt butter in heavy sauce pan; saute onion until soft.

2Add squash, turnip and pears and simmer, covered, until soft (about 15 minutes).

3Add water if needed.

4Puree in food processor until smooth.

5Season to taste.
