- 2 green apples
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 ounces butter
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sauce
- 1 ounce butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 1/4 cups water
Directions

1Sift flour and salt. Add sugar. Rub in butter, then add water and mix to a soft dough.

2Peel and quarter apples.

3Divide pastry into 8 equal portions.

4Roll out each portion of pastry and wrap each around an apple quarter.

5Place in an oven proof dish.

6Combine sauce ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil.

7Pour sauce over pastries in dish.

8Bake 25-30 minutes in a moderate oven, about 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Serve with ice cream.
