- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. quick cooking oats
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. butterscotch morsels
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1In a large bowl, beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

3Add vanilla. Combine oats, baking soda and salt.

4Add alternately with water to creamed mixture.

5Stir in butterscotch and nuts.

6Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.

7Bake in a preheated oven at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are lightly browned. Yields about 6 dozen cookies.
