- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Brown butter in a heavy skillet, this should be golden brown for good flavor.

2Beat egg yolks in a bowl.

3Add milk, brown sugar, salt and flour.

4Mix well.

5Add to browned butter in skillet.

6Cook until thick, stirring constantly.

7Cool and add vanilla.

8Pour into baked pie shell and cover with meringue.
