- 1 3/4 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2/3 c. flour
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
Directions

1Bake shell.

2Heat milk and margarine to boiling.

3Combine brown sugar, flour, egg yolks and vanilla.

4Mix with small amount of warm milk.

5Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.

6Pour in shell.

7Mix egg whites with sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar and salt to make meringue.
