- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 baked pie shell (large)
Directions

1Combine 1 cup brown sugar, water, butter and corn syrup.

2Cook until a small amount forms a soft ball in cold water.

3Scald milk. Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, cornstarch and flour.

4Mix well. Add scalded milk and cook for 15 minutes or until thick and smooth.

5Pour in beaten egg yolks and cook for 1 minute longer. Add butterscotch mixture.

6Pour into baked shell and cover with meringue and brown.
