- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 egg yolks
Directions

1In a heavy bottom saucepan or cast-iron skillet, cook brown sugar and butter over low heat until melted and bubbly; stir until blended.

2In blender, combine milk, cornstarch and egg yolks. Blend.

3Stir into butter-sugar mixture and cook on medium heat until at a rolling boil.

4Pour into 9-inch baked pie shell.

5Use the egg whites to make meringue.
