- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 2 slightly beaten egg yolks or 1 beaten egg
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In saucepan blend sugar, cornstarch and salt; add milk.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more.

3Remove from heat.

4Stir small amount of hot mixture into beaten egg or yolks.

5Return to hot mixture.

6Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.

7Remove from heat.

8Add margarine and vanilla.

9Pour into pudding dishes and chill.

10Makes 4 servings.
