Buttery Blue Cheese Bread

- 8 ounces blue cheese
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
- fresh black pepper, to taste
- 2 french bread French baguettes or 4 sourdough bread, flutes halved lengthwise
- chopped celery top (optional)
Directions

1Blend the cheese with butter in food processor until smooth.

2Preheat the broiler.

3Broil bread crust side up until crispy.

4Turn over and broil cut side until light brown.

5Spread cheese mixture over cut side of bread.

6Sprinkle generously with the pepper.

7Broil bread until cheese bubbles and is beginning to brown.

8Remove from broiler and sprinkle bread with celery, if you like.

9Cut crosswise into 1-inch pieces.

10Serve warm.
