  • 3 1/2 c. bread, broken into cube pieces
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • raisins to taste
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. milk

    In a buttered casserole (9 x 9-inch), put bread. Sprinkle butter over bread.

    Sprinkle with raisins.

    Sprinkle with cinnamon.

    Mix eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and milk. Pour mixture over bread. Sprinkle a little more cinnamon over top.

    Do not stir. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
