- 2/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 2/3 c. milk
- 2 1/3 c. flour
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

2Combine the eggs and milk.

3Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.

4Add to creamed mixture alternately with egg mixture.

5Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

6Bake at 400° for 22 to 27 minutes or until tests done.

7Cut into squares.

8Serve warm.
