- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. peanuts, chopped
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Heat and stir sugar, syrup and water in 3-quart saucepan until sugar dissolves.

2When syrup boils, blend in butter.

3Stir often after reaches 230°.

4Add nuts at 280°; stir constantly to hard crack stage (305°).

5Remove from heat.

6Quickly stir in soda, mixing well.

7Pour onto 2 cookie sheets.

8Stretch thin by lifting and pulling from edges with forks.

9Loosen from pans as soon as possible.

10Break up.

11Makes 2 1/2 pounds.
