  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup (light or dark seem the same to me)
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups pecans (pieces or halves)
  • 1 pie shell, 9 inch

    Preheat oven 350-375 degrees.

    In a mixer (or by hand) mix butter, sugar, syrup, salt, and vanilla.

    Beat well.

    Add eggs until blended.

    Fold in pecans by hand.

    Pour into pie shell.

    Cover pie rim with pie crust band or foil pieces.

    Bake for 40-50 minutes.

    Custard is set when a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
