- 12 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup (light or dark seem the same to me)
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups pecans (pieces or halves)
- 1 pie shell, 9 inch
Directions

1Preheat oven 350-375 degrees.

2In a mixer (or by hand) mix butter, sugar, syrup, salt, and vanilla.

3Beat well.

4Add eggs until blended.

5Fold in pecans by hand.

6Pour into pie shell.

7Cover pie rim with pie crust band or foil pieces.

8Bake for 40-50 minutes.

9Custard is set when a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
