Cabbage Bean Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 3 (No. 2) cans tomatoes, crushed
  • 2 (No. 2) cans kidney beans
  • 1/2 tsp. Accent
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. chili powder (more if you like spicy)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Salt and pepper ground chuck and brown in soup pot.

    Drain meat well.

    Cut cabbage into small strips and combine with meat and tomatoes.

    Add enough water to cover ingredients.

    Salt and pepper to taste.

    Add Accent, sugar and chili powder.

    Cook until cabbage is tender.
