- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. cracker crumbs
Directions

1Mix these ingredients well and form into balls.

2Cut core from large head of cabbage; submerge in boiling water in large kettle. Let stand 10 minutes until leaves are softened.

3Remove leaves and wrap a large leaf around each meatball.

4Place leftover cabbage leaves in bottom of 6-quart kettle, then place bundles on top. Add 2 cans tomato soup and about 1/4 cup catsup.

5Add water if needed and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours or in oven for 1 1/2 hours at 325°.

6Let stand 20 minutes before serving.
