Cabbage Casserole

- 1 medium onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. salt and pepper
- 1 head cabbage
- 2 c. American cheese
- 1 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 c. buttered bread crumbs, toasted
Directions

1Brown onion in butter. Add ground beef and brown. Cut cabbage into 1-inch squares. Add to beef mixture. Cook, covered, slowly until tender (about 10 minutes). Add sour cream and cheese. Mix thoroughly.

2Pour into a casserole dish. Top with buttered toasted bread. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
