  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. Carnation milk
  • 1/2 stick mild cheese (Cracker Barrel)
  • 1/2 cabbage, cut in pieces dividing cabbage into 1/4 pieces
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

    In a covered pan, cook cabbage in small amount of boiling water without seasoning for 12 minutes or until tender.

    Drain. In large skillet, cook celery in butter until brown; pour in milk and cheese.

    Stir until mixture is thick (on low heat).

    Then put in cabbage and season.

    Put into baking dish and top with buttered bread crumbs.

    Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
