- 8 c. chopped cabbage
- 1 1/2 c. onions, rings or diced
- 4 bread slices, cubed
- 1 lb. pork sausage, cooked and drained
- 2 tsp. margarine
- 2 tsp. flour
- 1/8 c. milk
- 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
Directions

1Parboil cabbage and onions for 7 minutes; drain.

2Make a white sauce with margarine, flour, milk and pepper.

3Add 1/2 pound of cubed cheese.

4Stir until sauce is smooth.

5Layer half of cabbage mixture, bread and 1/3 of sausage into a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Repeat layer of cabbage, layer of sausage and layer of bread.

6Top with sauce and remaining sausage.
