Cabbage Roll Casserole

  • 1 small cabbage
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground turkey
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1/3 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 lb. sauerkraut
  • 1 small onion, diced

Directions

    Chop cabbage into bite-size pieces and place in the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish.

    Brown meat; drain.

    Add salt, pepper and onion.

    Sprinkle in uncooked rice.

    Place meat mixture over cabbage and cover with sauerkraut, tomato sauce and water. Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 20 minutes.

    Cover and bake 1 hour longer.
