- 2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 c. tomato juice or milk
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper and ground bay leaves
- 1 lb. hot pork sausage
- 1 1/2 c. Minute rice, uncooked
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large head cabbage
- 3/4 to 1 qt. tomato juice
- 1 qt. sauerkraut
Directions

1Mix all but last 3 ingredients together.

2Parboil cabbage and separate leaves.

3Cut out thick part of leaf.

4Form oblong meat balls and roll up in cabbage leaves.

5Put layer of sauerkraut in bottom of roaster.

6Add cabbage rolls and cover with remaining sauerkraut.

7Pour tomato juice over top.

8Cover and bake for 2 hours at 300°.
