- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 small onions, minced
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
Directions

1Gently pull off eight leaves from cabbage.

2Simmer in 1 inch boiling water, covered, for 5 minutes.

3Drain and lay out for filling.

4Combine ground beef and pork.

5Saute in butter until brown.

6Add salt, pepper, onions, garlic and rice.

7Fill leaves with mixture, using 1/8 of it for each.

8Roll up each, folding ends to center.

9Secure with toothpicks.

10Place in a greased skillet. Add tomatoes, cover and place in 350° oven.

11Cook for about 45 minutes.
