Cabbage Souffle Casserole

- 1 large head cabbage
- 3 slices white bread
- margarine
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cook cabbage in small amount of water with salt until tender; drain.

2Spread bread slices with margarine.

3Combine eggs and milk; soak bread in egg mixture until soft.

4Add cabbage, cheese, salt and pepper; mix well.

5Pour into greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 250° for 1 1/2 hours.

6Serves 8.
